Piano & Music

Piano

I was 5 years of age when I first played a small wooden instrument with keyboards – a toy Piano. As I pressed those keys, I wondered at the different sounds it created. What started as curiosity soon developed into passion, as my parents enrolled me at the Furtados School of Music.

I have spent over 12 years learning the piano. Hours of practice, which seemed almost meditative, helped me in refining my skills and understanding the nuances of this wonderous source of melody.

I interned with the Furtados School of Music and contributed to their “Learn Buddy” program.

This cutting-edge SaaS solution, based on machine learning, aids music teachers in delivering complete education to K-12 students. I reaffirmed my belief in the power of technology in enhancing the learning process.

I was inspired to start the “Music for Seniors” program after my grandfather was diagnosed with Dementia.

I saw that when I played the piano it seemed to have a soothing effect on him. This made me realise the power of music in healing seniors who are often faced with similar challenges. I had the privilege of performing at the Parkinson’s Society in Mumbai. As I performed, I saw them humming along and tapping their feet to the music. It was indeed a very humbling and rewarding experience.
