Leadership

Student Council & Leadership

I have served as the Captain and the Vice Captain of Tiger House, as part of the Student Council from 2020 to 2023. It has been a fantastic opportunity to lead the students of my House and contribute significantly to the school community.

My role involved leading 300+ students, encouraging participation, and coordinating school events related to Dramatics, Sports Day, Debates etc. Organizing various  school events and projects with fellow council members has been a valuable team experience.

The experience as a Vice Captain and Captain of my school’s student council has been an enriching experience and has also shown me how leadership can effect positive change and the importance of leading by example. This experience has taught me a number of life-lessons, such as the importance of effective communication, value of collaboration and the importance of empathy.

I have also received the DAIS Citizenship award which reflects my commitment to building a positive school community. It acknowledges my leadership qualities and is given to students who have been responsible, respectful, cooperative, caring and punctual through the year.

In addition to Student Council, I have held various other leadership positions, such as, Robotics Outreach Captain FRC, Deputy Head of Press at DAIMUN etc

All of the above positions and awards required endorsements by senior students and multiple teachers.
